Trust seeks new Treasurer to see it through 'financially difficult times'

The Kennet & Avon Canal Trust Treasurer, Neil Lethby, wants to give up the job — a job that he agreed to do for three years when he took it on more than four years ago.

Neil has again reminded the Trust of his wish to relinquish the post and the Trust is now looking for a volunteer to give one day a week to oversee the finances of the Trust and its trading arm Enterprise Ltd.

A Trust spokesman said, "When we arrived at the AGM earlier this year, we found him to be irreplaceable and he had his arm twisted to carry on for another 6 months." he added, "The role is absolutely vital, especially in these financially difficult times."

The Trust says it needs a "money man" with "suitable experience, possibly a retired CA"

If you are suitably qualified and would like to take on this challenge get in touch with the General Manager, Mike Rodd at: gm@katrust.org.uk
