Police have recovered a body from the River Avon in Bath believed to be that of missing Bath Spa University student James Bubear
After a call from an Environment Agency staff member police went to Twerton at 9.50am today (Monday April 4) and a police underwater search team recovered a body.
Chief Inspector Simon Ellis of Bath Police said, "Police divers recovered a body from the River Avon in Twerton this morning. At this stage we are unable to formally identify that body, but we believe it is that of James Bubear who went missing on the night of March 13th.
"We have spoken to James's family and are keeping them fully informed. The matter is now in the hands of the Coroner who will carry out a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death and formally identify the body."
