Towpath pedal for Pakistan
Flood victims in Pakistan will benefit from the pedal power of two pupils from Box Primary School near Bath.

Jamelia, seven, and Anisha, six, decided to do a sponsored bike ride to help the flood victims in Pakistan. On Saturday (18 September 2010) they set off to ride 23 miles along the Kennet & Avon Canal towpath from the Caen Hill Flight in Devizes to Bath.

Jamelia said, "We would love to reach our target and raise a £1000 towards food, medicines and new shelters for the millions of people who have lost everything."  Anisha added, "Our school is helping by holding a mufti day and that will add a lot to our target."

Before they had reached Bath the figure they had raised had shot past their target and had reached £1,470 and it is still rising.

If you would like to contribute to the disaster appeal you can make a donation through their page on the 'JustGiving' website.
